Konnections by Kenzo is a nonprofit organization founded by a young boy at 14 with a mission to bring joy, comfort, and a sense of normalcy to children who are unhoused and/or making the transition to shelters. We will provide thoughtfully curated comfort bags filled with essential items, educational materials, and small treasures to uplift spirits, inspire hope, and remind every child that they are valued and cared for.

Letters from our founder
I wanted to take a moment to share with you the heartfelt reasons behind the creation of Konnections by Kenzo. This nonprofit organization was born from a deeply personal experience that touched my life profoundly. Growing up, I witnessed the devastating effects of domestic violence on someone very close, which ignited a passion within me to create change.
At Konnections by Kenzo, our mission is simple yet impactful: we aim to provide essential goodie bags filled with necessities for children and women in homeless shelters and domestic violence facilities. These bags are not just items; they represent hope, dignity, and support for those who have experienced hardship. Starting this nonprofit has been a journey of resilience, fueled by the belief that everyone deserves compassion and a helping hand during their most challenging times.
With the unwavering support of our dedicated Board of Directors, Youth Committee and generous donors, we will be able to expand our reach and impact more lives than ever before. Our goal is to create a community where those impacted feel supported and heard—where they can begin to heal, rebuild, and thrive in a safe environment.

One year ago, Konnections by Kenzo began its journey with a deeply personal purpose. Growing up, I witnessed the devastating effects of domestic violence on someone close to me, an experience that inspired me to create meaningful change and support individuals and families facing difficult circumstances.
Today, as we reflect on our first year of being fully up and running, I am filled with gratitude for how far Konnections by Kenzo has come. What began as a vision has grown into an active nonprofit dedicated to providing essential comfort bags and resources to children and families experiencing homelessness, domestic violence, and other forms of hardship. Each bag represents more than basic necessities—it represents care, dignity, encouragement, and the reminder that no one is alone.
Throughout this first year, we have been fortunate to connect with supporters, donors, volunteers, community partners, our Board of Directors, and our Youth Committee. Your generosity, time, encouragement, and willingness to share our mission have been instrumental in helping Konnections by Kenzo become what it is today. Every donation, conversation, volunteer effort, and act of support has helped us reach more people and strengthen our impact.
As we have grown, our vision has also become more focused. While our work remains rooted in supporting individuals affected by domestic violence and homelessness, we have shifted our primary focus to children who are unhoused and/or making the transition into shelters. This transition can be especially challenging for children, and we are committed to helping them feel seen, supported, and cared for during a time of uncertainty. Through our comfort bags and community connections, we hope to provide comfort and encouragement as they adjust to new environments and begin moving toward stability.
This past year has taught us that meaningful change happens through community. We could not have reached this milestone without each person who believed in Konnections by Kenzo and supported our mission. Your kindness has helped us create moments of comfort and hope for children and families who need it most.
